Logan Tanner is a musician, graphic designer, and dad.
What started as designing gig posters at the age of 14 for shows he and his friends were putting on in his hometown of Swan River, Manitoba, including artists such as The Afterbeat and The Ripperz, has turned into a career as a graphic designer all while touring North America playing shows at festivals like SXSW, NXNE and playing Music Matters in Singapore with Saskatoon based band, Samurai Champs.
Before moving back to Manitoba, Logan ran a clothing brand, ELEVEN03, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where the brand showcased in a number of festivals and produced, designed, and marketed fully conceptual runway shows to debut new collections. The brand was also home to a popular podcast and blog, The Common Ground, that helped promote up and coming musicians and artists.
Combining his love for music and design, Logan began working closely with Saskatoon artist collective, Trifecta Sound Co., to develop artist branding and create marketing collateral which eventually lead to playing bass guitar for their premiere act, Samurai Champs.
As a graduate of the Creative Communications program at Red River College with a major in advertising and over fifteen years experience designing, Logan has worked to hone his skills in the areas of graphic design, photography, photo editing and merchandise design.
In 2013 he was awarded a Big Rock Eddie and Reader’s Choice Award (Voted on by the Calgary Sun readers) at the Big Rock Eddies for his design on a Big Rock ad campaign. In 2020, he was a finalist for the Excellence in Visual Design award at the Western Canadian Music Awards (Breakout West) for his design work with Trifecta Sound Co.
Outside of graphic design, Logan enjoys deep-diving through Wikipedia and IMDB pages, watching movies, listening to the design and interview podcasts, combing the racks at local thrift stores for vintage tees, movies, and books, watching Winnipeg Jets games and spending time with family and friends.
